Volleyball Vacations and GObeachfest 2009 was an unforgettable experience, bringing together over 600 sports and health enthusiasts from around the world to the stunning white sand beaches of Club Med in Turks & Caicos from November 7–21.
For two jam-packed weeks, this all-inclusive event delivered the ultimate mix of training, adventure, and island-style fun. By day, guests dove into nonstop activities:
🏐 Beach volleyball
🧘 Yoga & Pilates
💪 Fitness training & beach boot camps
🌊 Kiteboarding, SUP, kayaking, and scuba
🎯 Trapeze, martial arts, beach soccer, tennis, golf, and more
With a schedule led by professional athletes and celebrity trainers, attendees had the unique opportunity to learn from the best in the game, no matter the discipline.
But once the sun went down? The island transformed.
Nightlife in Paradise
Training paused, and the parties began. Each night had a themed celebration that raised the bar:

AVP’s own DJ Roueche kept the beats bumping, and a rotating lineup of live bands had everyone dancing into the night. With an open bar and a crowd full of friendly, active, and approachable people, the vibe was electric.
One attendee said it best:
"I have never seen a better group of great-looking, healthy, approachable people in my life. The way the pro athletes and celebrities interacted with everyone was incredible—it made the experience so special for me."
Turks and Caicos beach volleyball: Built on a Winning Formula
GObeachfest was inspired by 15 years of success with Volleyball Vacations. The idea? Expand beyond volleyball to include a “CrossFit-style” spectrum of activities with elite-level instructors across all disciplines.
Celebrity trainer Kim Lyons (of The Biggest Loser) said it best:
“It’s the only place where you can train like an Olympic athlete during the day and then party like a rock star at night.”
