Miles Evans
Miles is from Santa Barbara, CA and had a MONSTER year, qualifying for the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris with partner Chase Budinger. They had a strong top 10 finish against the top countries in the world. Miles recently won the 2024 Hermosa Open and is on FIRE on the AVP tour and in life. He is excited to coach on his first trip to Volleyball Vacations event in 2024 and will coach and party like the champ that he is.
Sean “Rosie” Rosenthal
2 time Olympian and possibly the best athlete to ever play the game, “Rosie” is a legend of the game. Self proclaimed “best night pro ever”, you will have the most fun on and off the court with this Superman. Rosie is annoyingly amazing at everything he does, so beware challenging him to a game of ping pong, pool, golf, or any video game.
Devon Newberry
Devon Newberry is a professional beach volleyball player who has been terrorizing blockers and chasing down impossible balls since she first picked up the sport at age 10. A former UCLA standout, she racked up 100 career wins, earned multiple All-Pac-12 honors, and helped the Bruins make several NCAA championship runs before taking her talents full-time to the sand.
Now competing on the AVP and international FIVB tours, Devon brings a dangerous mix of athleticism, grit, and “did-she-really-just-save-that?” energy to every match. Whether she’s stuffing a hitter at the net, flying through the sand for a one-arm dig, or casually collecting international medals, she plays with the confidence of someone who knows beach volleyball is equal parts skill, chaos, and sunscreen. Opponent scouting report: expect heavy swings, relentless defense, and absolutely no free points.
Ryan Wilcox
Ryan is likely going to be the 2024 AVP Rookie of the Year. He was picked up to play with Olympian Tri Bourne and they had a successful year together. Ryan was an All-American for the Santa Barbara Mens Indoor volleyball team and 2-time Hawaii state player of the year.
Ryan promises to be a great coach and will “make sure everyone has the best week of their lives.” Big promises but we feel Ryan will come through as he always does. This Honolulu native is ready to show campers how to do things Hawaiian style and we are happy to have Ryan join our crew.
Jaden Whitmarsh
Jaden had a solid rookie 2024 season on the AVP. Was a 4-year starter at UCLA. Known for her amazing defense and speed and athleticism. Lists winning Junior Olympics and being named a First Team Under Armour All-American as the biggest athletic thrills of her career.
Her father, Mike Whitmarsh, was a Beach Volleyball Legend, winning the Olympic bronze medal in the 1996 Olympics.
Jaden can’t wait to join her first Volleyball Vacations. Her magnetic personality will make everyone smile all week.
Maia Hannemann
Maia has a long volleyball history and was regarded as one of the best junior volleyball players of all time winning a record 32 tournaments in a row. Her defense got her a scholarship to University of Hawaii where she thrived as their top defender until moving on to start a career as an international model where she has now worked for over 100 brands and been featured in Time Square with Steve Madden.
Maia shares her love of beach volleyball with her dad and enjoys sharing her knowledge and experiences in the sport. She can’t wait to raise the level of the campers on the off the court and raise her glass to celebrate good times at our epic theme night parties.
Ethan Young
Ethan was a star indoor for the FDU mens team and was a captain and piled up the kills and digs during his successful career.
Now focusing on the beach, Ethan has been competing in AVP qualifiers working hard to break into the main draw. His 48 inch vertical is impressive and often nets with his feet.
He LOVES coaching and his father Chris played many years on the AVP so Ethan has been around the sport his entire life.
Albert “AL-B” Hannemann
Our fearless leader, “AL-B” is the founder of Volleyball Vacations and the Beach Agency Group. This Samoan Ninja was an indoor setter at both UCLA, winning one national championship, and was an Academic All-American at the University of Hawaii. Taking his skills to the sand, AL-B played on the AVP tour for 18 years where he won the U.S Open and the AVP Hermosa Beach Open. AL-B was named one of the most entertaining players in all of beach volleyball, according to TV commentator Chris Marlowe. He also founded the National Volleyball League, running professional beach volleyball events for 7 years across the U.S. with special friends and partners (Tarin and Andy better known around the world as “Tandy”).
In addition to appearances on Baywatch, MTV, E!TV, Extra and Inside Edition, Albert acted in a major role as “Kimo” the handsome prince in the widely acclaimed volleyball film “Beach Kings,” released in July 2009. This pretty boy is more than just a male model and actor extraordinaire. He is a proud father of 3 wonderful girls, a huge history buff, enjoys snowboarding, and is a black belt and master in 7 different martial arts and disciplines. He can bend a spoon with his mind and has been known to use Jedi mind tricks while playing sports and drinking games to convince his opponents to allow him to change the rules mid game!
He is notorious for his on court banter, loves his zip ties and staple gun, Disney movies, shopping, and yelling “SOCIAL.”
Kylin Loker
Kylin Loker is a 6’0″ beach volleyball player from Carlsbad, CA, who starred at the University of Hawaiʻi from 2019–2023. Known for her consistency and competitive edge, she appeared in 136 dual matches (2nd-most in UH history) and tallied 77 career wins. Loker played across multiple flights, often securing key victories against nationally ranked teams, and earned All-Big West honors twice. A former standout at Carlsbad High and Tamarack Beach Volleyball Club, she brings high-level experience, strong fundamentals, and a team-first attitude—making her a great fit for competitive and community-focused beach volleyball events.
Tarin Keith LoCascio
One of the favorite Pros year after year. Not only is she a great player & coach, she is also a mommy to two beautiful beach babies! You’ll be sure to have fun when she is around, whether it’s on the court or the dance floor. Look out for her nasty cut shot, ridiculous float serve, and the best standing pokey in the game – beep boop. The other half of the famous couple “Tandy” she loves fishing with her hubby, VBV pro Andy LoCascio, going to every exotic country in the world and dancing in the rain.
Andy LoCascio
This long time VBV veteran is more than the top fisherman in the world. Nicknamed “Salamander” for his smooth movements in the sand like a slippery lizard. Andy was able to fulfill his lifelong dream of marrying a hot volleyball pro when he met VBV Pro, Tarin, to form the celebrity couple “Tandy”. Andy is without a doubt the nicest and most handy man in the world. He can build a house with toothpicks and chewing gum, teach a dog to catch fish with its bare paws, and sports some pretty sweet chest hair.

Original “King of the Beach” and winningest player of all time. Responsible for beach volleyball becoming an Olympic sport and for growing the game all over the world. Loves the game so much that can talk to anyone for hours about it. Seeing Sinjin out of his board shorts and vintage T-shirt is like a Bigfoot sighting as his style of fashion is like no other. He loves playing dominos with his homies, signing autographs, and the sound of hummingbirds.
Evan Cory
Evan Cory
Known around for his trademark blue nose, Evan is in his first year playing beach volleyball professionally. This year he won 3 AVPNext Gold events and took a career best 9th on the AVP. Being from Louisiana, Evan loves getting down and dirty in the bayou whether it be fishing, hunting, or hunting. Off the court, Evan is friends with the infamous Wannabes, so be sure to catch him not only winning on the court, but also winning the party.
Savvy Simo
Savvy Simo
Savvy graduated from UCLA in 2021 where she played both beach and indoor volleyball. She was an All-American in both beach and indoor and won back-to-back national championships in 2018 and 2019 with the UCLA beach program. Savvy just finished her first year playing on the AVP, where she finished with a career high 7th place in Atlanta. Savvy loves to go to the beach with her dog Skye, go surfing with friends, and eat California burritos. If you ever wanna make her smile, just grab her a beer and she’ll be good to go!
Toni Rodriguez
Toni Rodriguez
Toni Rodriguez was born and raised in St. Amant, Louisiana and played indoor and beach volleyball at Louisiana State University (LSU) from 14’-21’. After enduring seven years of college, Toni is three degrees hotter and has officially moved to the other LA to start her professional beach volleyball career. She has plenty of coaching experience from middle school coaching all the way to high school coaching. At LSU, she played on the 3’s court for all three seasons and is now the second winningest pair at LSU with her partner, Ashlyn Rasnick-Pope.
Toni qualified for her first AVP in Manhattan of 2019 with Aurora Davis and her top finish this season was a 3rd place with Savvy Simo at the AVP Next Championship in Clearwater, FL. If you ever need to get her attention, just scream her nickname from college, “Big Toe”. Toni loves to eat good food, sing in the shower, and make people laugh.
Logan Webber
Logan Weber
I am originally from Grand Rapids, Michigan, where everyone is very jealous I am going to be with you on this trip rather than freezing in the December snow. After graduating from Cincinnati Christian University with a degree in Accounting and Biblical Studies I moved to Hermosa Beach to pursue beach volleyball professionally. Since then I’ve been fortunate enough to win a number of amazing tournaments including the Seaside Open, The Waupaca Boatride and the Laguna Beach Open all this year. I started playing on the FIVB tour back in September and qualified for a tournament in Cervia, Italy in my first event.
I’m a huge fan of chocolate milk, my two cats, and of course, beach volleyball. I’m unbelievably excited to meet you all in such a beautiful place and enjoy an incredible week together.
Casey Patterson
This AVP Champion is known for his passion and energy on the court. Has 3 sons that may already be better athletes than him and a beautiful daughter that he can’t stop staring at every day. Clearly is famous for having the coolest and most likable volleywife in the game. Casey likes to play hide and seek, bowling, crickets, and muscle T-shirts.
Eric Fonoimoana
Olympic Gold Medalist. “Fonoi” won his Gold medal and was said to be one of the biggest upsets in Olympic history. Known as the big game hunter and loves to also grow the game. Eric loves to wear wrestling masks, sign autographs in Spanish, and not sing.
Josh Binstock
2012 Olympian and has won every NVL tournament he has competed in. One of the most dynamic players in the world as a blocker and defender. This Canadian loves to coach, meet new friends, swimming the breast stroke, and long moonlit walks on the beach.
Casey Jennings
Casey has won many tournaments but most famous for having awesome kids. So fun to watch play and his defense is ridiculous as he continues to transform his game to stay on top. Casey loves to dress like a pirate, and have no body fat.
Jenn Snyder
Jenn Snyder
Mark Kerins
Among the championships he has won on the pro tour, this caveman was best known for being the hardest hitter in the world. Mark is the heart and soul of Volleyball Vacations. He has been known to watch multiple sunsets in one trip while using conch shells to teach campers how to be better setters. He can do the splits and make Prince look like he doesn’t know how to dance. “Captain Caicos” loves to paint himself silver, anything free, and telling you the same story 20 times in a week while shaking his head like a bobble head doll.
Whitney Pavlik
This NVL champion was a great addition and can’t wait to get her back. Whit loves to have a steady volleyball partner, blackjack, and Jamie Foxx movies.
Brittany Tiegs
Brittany Tiegs
Originally from Florida, she dominated in high school and college. She played her junior and senior year of college at University of Hawaii, and was named AVCA all-american. Currently residing in Redondo Beach, CA, Brit has two 5th place finishes on the AVP. Brittany is a baller, no doubt about that.
Don’t be too distracted by her beautiful red mermaid hair, this siren will serve you right off the court. Her playing style is smart, athletic and fiery. Off the court, she loves to frolic in the waves, dance with lions and whittle figurines for the local children.
Laura Ratto
Laura Ratto
This Oakland native has quite the resume. She was an indoor setter for UC Riverside and took her ball control to the beach, playing 10 years professionally both domestically and internationally. She has coached all levels including juniors, college, and international. Her passion and knowledge of the sport is unrivaled. Ratto is more than just a good athlete, she is a smart cookie too! She earned an 800 on her Math SAT’s, and also has her Master’s in Kinesiology with a specialization in Exercise and Applied Sports Psychology. Laura currently owns a sports psychology consulting business, so if you ever want to delve into the dark cavernous lair of your brain, Laura’s your girl. You can listen to her podcast here.
Laura loves to travel, especially if it includes volleyball, good food and wine, dancing and costumes. If she’s not playing or coaching, you can probably find her on the dance floor.
Ali Denney
Ali Denney
Ali was Born in Maui, Hawaii and moved to Florida when she was 10 years old. Coming from a family of surfers she had never played volleyball. Her mom found a recreational program and signed them up. They ended up winning the whole tournament and she officially had the bug! She has since gone on to play collegiate D1 beach volleyball at FIU.
Joining us fresh out of college, Ali is excited to share her knowledge and passion for the sport. She will chase down any shanked pass, set you some butter off your marginal passes and cheer louder than anyone else. If you aren’t smiling after hanging with Ali, the issue is with you, not her. In her spare time Ali likes to stand up paddle board, house sits Floridian sea monkeys and enjoys the occasional goat yoga sesh.
Garrett Wessberg
Garrett Wessberg
Born and raised in Duluth Minnesota where there are no bright sandy beaches and only bars and more bars. One of my Neighbors was in a volleyball league at one of those many bars. This got me curious so I went to check it out. They basically dump a bunch of sand in a parking lot behind the bar and call it beach volleyball. My neighbor invited me to play on his team and from that point on I was hooked. What’s not to like about drinking and volleyball? I started traveling and playing in bigger and bigger tournaments. The parties eventually got larger and larger as well.
After working my way up the volleyball I started competing in AVPs and NVLs. 26 Pro events over the last 7 years and a career best finish of 13th on the AVP has lead me to one thing. One of the best parties I have ever been invited to. Volleyball Vacations in Turks and Caicos. I am beyond excited to teach everyone what I have learned over the years. If I am not on the courts you can find me at the bar!
